Blog Post 7: Las Post: CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

As you may already know, this is my sixth year of college, so I have a lot of experience, therefore, if I had to change the study programme, it would definitely be the subjects especially at the beginning of the career (especially in first and second year). For example, a subject called electromagnetism that I took in the second semester, I still don't know why I took it, to this day it has not helped me in my career (this is an example of several). Sincerely, I think that many subjects are there to make the career last 5 years, because if they eliminated the unusable subjects the career would last 4 years (even less).

Another thing that bothers me is that there are many untouchable professors on the faculty, but it is worse when teachers are untouchable and also teach poorly (I will not give names, but whoever is studying chemistry and pharmacy will know them or knew them).

But don't think that everything is bad, just as there are bad teachers, there are also super good teachers (especially when you are in higher grades) with teaching methods that are in line with the reality we are living, even sympathizing with the academic burden that we always have (unfortunately).

Also, I honestly wouldn't change anything about my faculty (even though a cafeteria wouldn't be a bad idea).  I like the rooms, the aula magna is beautiful, it has a lot of green area, or the place known as "los pastos", where you could have parties (when you could go 馃槩馃槶馃槶馃槶).

Blog Post 6: Time travel to the future

First, a little reflection, just the thought that our life span is nothing compared to the time that has passed and will continue to pass makes my head explode. How many things in the future I will miss is a mystery, but we should always be thankful how fortunate we are to have been a part of history.

Well as for the question, I feel that mine is more for science. Just the thought of all the new diseases, treatments and even discoveries that I will miss out on makes me sad, but if I can travel to the future I can definitely be there the day the cure for diseases like dementia is discovered, the total cure for cancer or even travel to where no mask is used would be perfect (no more pandemic 馃槗).

On the other hand, who wouldn't like to witness the first contact with beings from other planets. To know how they will be, with what intentions they will come, what is their way of communicating. Unfortunately, I think these are questions that may not be answered in our short lives.

But, I want most at this moment is to know how my daughter will grow up in the future (yes, I was a dad in pandemic). I would like to see her when she grows up and ask her if I will be a good dad, also know what she will like, also to know if she likes the area of health as much as I do.

But I sincerely hope that time goes slowly so that I can enjoy my daughter as much as possible.

Blog Post 5: My Future Job

Well, I'm already in my sixth year of my career, and It's still a question that I haven't completely solved. One of the main reasons why I'm studying chemistry and pharmacy is the career field that the career has. I have also had many teachers who have motivated me to follow one area or another.

Therefore, personally, there are 3 fields that catch my attention. The first one is the clinical area, I love being able to help different health professionals with my knowledge. Learning more about the different pathologies or treatments is also very interesting.

Secondly, the industrial area where all the country's pharmaceuticals are manufactured is a very challenging task. In addition, within the industry there are different areas that I can work in, such as quality control or directly in the manufacture of the drug, and even the design of new drugs seems fantastic to me.

But with all my heart, I'm hoping that someday Chile will be a manufacturer of biopharmaceuticals or vaccines to introduce me in this world that is totally different from the manufacture of "common" drugs.

Finally, once I feel satisfied with all the knowledge acquired in the two areas mentioned previously, I would like to create my own pharmacy and apply everything I have learned. Therefore, being my own boss is my dream for the future.

Blog Post 4: Childhood Series

Hello everyone, today I will tell you about two childhood series that I enjoyed too much in my childhood.

Automatically if you ask me the first series I saw in my life, it was the Telettubis. I remember it was the childhood series I loved the most when I was a kid, because, together with my cousins and brother, each one was a character and we played all day long. For example, I was Tinky Winky, my brother was Dispsy, my cousins were Dispsy and Po respectively. As you can see we were born for these characters.

However, before I tell you about the series that taught me the most and that I enjoyed in my childhood, I can't forget some like Ben 10 (when I believed I was an alien), the Rugrats, Doraemon (who didn't want a magic bag?), and the Power Rangers (I was always the red character :D).

But, the series I enjoyed the most as a kid was 31 Minutos. I remember that there wasn't a Saturday morning that I didn't wake up early to watch a single episode. On the other hand, I think I liked all the characters, but Calcetin con Rombos Man and Juan Carlos Bodoque were the best, and also, how not to remember the music ranking, I honestly think that to this day I know all the songs of 31 Minutos hahaha.

Blog Post 3: My Pets

Hi, classmates and teacher, my family (especially my mom) is a dog fanatic, therefore, It's difficult to talk about all my pets in 170 words, since there are 5 dogs in my house (their name are Matias, Chelo, Luna, Peque帽o and Bambam), so I'll do my best.

It all started with Matias, It was my uncle's dog. One day my uncle asked us to please look after of Matias for the summer while his family went on vacation, but we simply never gave it back (it also didn't want to leave). Today, 13 years have passed since that day and It's still with us.

After that day we found four more dogs from the street to take home. After Matias came Chelo (It was given to us in the cemetery), then Bambam (with Chelo it became friends in the street), then Luna (it was left on the street), and finally, Peque帽o who was abandoned by a neighbor.

It's amazing how a home with pets changes, especially if there is a dog like the Luna that plays all day (It never runs out of battery!! 馃槺), the Luna is also very good at destroying everything (honestly It's like a little baby 馃槀馃槀). On the other hand, there are also the friends Bambam-Chelo, who are never separated, It walk together all day, eat together and play together. Finally, Matias and Peque帽o are both a bit “antisocial”, the first for thinking It's the owner of the house and the other for arriving last, although It's already adapting to the family little by little.

What more can I say? I simply believe that dogs are the best thing in the world, is the reason for saying this: Man's best friend.

Blog Post 2: The Best Holidays / Concert Ever.

Hello again classmates and teacher, today I will tell you about my best holiday ever. I must also admit that, like the professor, I have never been to a concert, because I was uninterested or because I didn't have the money 馃槩.

Well, I remember that this holiday happened in February 2017, where for the first time I met La Serena and Coquimbo. This holiday was in the company of my family (my parents and my brother), for one week we met the best of these cities, where in La Serena I visited one of the most important valleys in Chile (Valle del Elqui), also the Japanese Park and beautiful walks along the beach.

On the other hand, in Coquimbo I was able to visit the astronomical observatory La Silla and the port where I went by boat and tasted the gastronomy, but what I loved most about this city were the beaches, especially La Herradura (left photo) and Totoralillo (right photo). I sincerely believe that these are the most beautiful beaches I have ever visited in my life, where I was also surprised that the beaches were totally different, in the first one the waves are big and restless, compared to the other one, where the waters were very calm.

But that's not all, after returning to Santiago, I went immediately to Puerto Mont with my girlfriend, where we met for the first time a National Park, I'm talking about the Alerce Andino National Park, I can only say: ¡OMG! It's incredible how nature can surprise you with its flora and fauna. Also, as an anecdote, we met two friendly french who took us (by car) to the entrance of the park and told us that they were amazed with the landscapes of Chile, by the way, they came from the Torres del Paine (another place I would love to visit). After three days in the park, we went to Puerto Varas to visit the Lago de Todos los Santos (I think the photo describes the beauty of the place). Finally we take a ferry to Ancud (Chilo茅), where my girlfriend's grandparents live.

Blog post 1: A country you would like to visit

Hi classmate and teacher, today I like to tell you about the country that has beautiful cities, for example, Liverpool the birthplace of the Beatles, Cambridge the city of universities, Stonehenge one of the world's most famous archaeological sites, the Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and place of spectacular museums like the national gallery, I'm talking about England!!

I would like to tell you about the two main reasons why I will visit England someday. Personally, I'm a person who likes horror stories and paranormal phenomena, therefore, the Tower of London is one of the places I would love to visit.

This tower has many stories, because it was the place where people who offended the monarch were locked up. These prisoners lived in appalling conditions, tortured and executed. Also, the tower has some very famous residents who are the crows (馃槺), It's even said that if the crows disappeared the tower would collapse, and with it the kingdom.

Finally, the second and main reason to visit this country is that it is home to the best soccer league in the world, I'm talking about the English Premier League, but I love the most are the beautiful stadiums, which are known all over the world. Examples are Old Trafford (Manchester United), Anfield (Liverpool), Wembley Stadium (England), among others.

I would personally like to visit the recently inaugurated (2019) Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with capacity for 62,850 people, the stadium has different tours offered by the club, to know the locker rooms, trophies, as well as the different legends of the team, there is even something called The Dare Skywalk, which consists of walking on top of the stadium, and you can even see London.
